I spent the summer of 2018 living in a log cabin in Thayne, Wyoming. I gathered my first impressions and documented the wild animals and open spaces by painting 8” x 8” woods panels in the contemporary visual language of Instagram. I mixed in some threads from my previous painting and the tumultuous politics of the summer of 2018. There are 32 paintings … eight groups of four paintings each. Each group has a narrative.
